The DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education offers empirical research, digital infrastructures and knowledge transfer activities to tackle challenges in education. Located in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, DIPF processes and documents knowledge of education and thus supports scientists, politicians and practitioners in education.

At DIPF, the Cognitive Development unit at the Department for Human Development will be participating in the LOEWE Centre DYNAMIC and thus seeks to appoint a

**Head of junior research group**

Full time, initially for 39 months and possibly longer. Salary corresponding to EG 14 TV-H, collective bargaining agreement in Hesse.

The post is located in Frankfurt am Main.

The LOEWE Centre DYNAMIC Network Approach of Mental Health to Stimulate Innovations for Change uses dynamic network models to aim at a new understanding of mental disorders and their treatment. The Department for Human Development assesses individual and differential developments of individual people in educational contexts. The Cognitive Development unit investigates multivariate dynamics of change processes by conducting empirical studies on the intra-individual variability of cognitive achievements and emotional well-being and relevant influential factors in daily (school) life.

**Your tasks**
- You will independently lead a junior research group studying the network approach for children and adolescents.
- You will organise DIPF’s participation in DYNAMIC - particularly with respect to exchange with science coordinators at the universities of Marburg, Giessen and Frankfurt am Main.
- You will conceptualise, plan and analyse studies of dynamic networks in children and adolescents by using ambulatory assessment techniques.
- You are expected to record and publish findings (English language articles, contributions to conferences).
- You will conduct your own research at the interface between mental health and cognitive development.
- You will prepare research findings for different target groups and develop intervention concepts for educational practice and clinical therapeutic usage.
- possess an excellent university degree and a doctorate in Psychology.
- show relevant experience at the interface between clinical psychology and developmental psychology.
- be experienced in and possess profound knowledge of statistical analysis tools, know recognised statistical methods (e.g. R or Mplus), preferably have experience in analysis of time series with dynamic network models.
- be experienced in assessing and analysing complex data sets, particularly with longitudinal measurement intensive data from ambulatory assessment.
- show an independent work style, a high level of commitment, high communication and cooperation skills.
- demonstrate very good English skills; preferably good German skills.
- be interested in collaborating with clinical partners from child and youth psychiatry and psychology wards and psychotherapy units.
