Purchasing Supervisor

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers, and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management, and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes, and continuous technical improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain understanding, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, globally savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strategize and execute impactful sourcing strategies across the EMEA region, harmonizing them with business objectives and achieving targeted outcomes for assigned commodities
- Spearhead and inspire a dynamic team, empowering them to execute sourcing strategies effectively and consistently deliver outstanding results
- Nurture and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, fostering a collaborative environment that ensures their commitment to excellence and fosters continuous improvement opportunities
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand and effectively communicate procurement requirements, ensuring alignment with the ever-evolving needs of the business
- Stay at the forefront of market trends, diligently monitoring and analyzing supply-demand dynamics and price fluctuations. Utilize this valuable insight to inform decision-making, proactively mitigate risks, and seize advantageous opportunities
- Champion the implementation of best practices and innovative approaches that optimize procurement processes, elevate supplier performance, and drive cost efficiencies across the organization
- Lead the charge in developing sustainable and environmentally responsible supply chains, spearheading initiatives that positively impact both business operations and the broader community

**What your background should look like**:

- Minimum 5 years of procurement and category management experience (ideally in metals), delivering cost savings, quality improvement and supplier performance
- Minimum 2 years of effective management remote teams and driving exceptional result
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or related fields
- Fluent and German and English
- Strong market intelligence to negotiate favorable deals and stay ahead of industry trends
- Effective supplier management, assessing capabilities, and fostering performance
- Skilled negotiator, optimizing contracts for maximum value
- Experienced in end-to-end project management for procurement initiatives
- Having a sharp mindset for data evaluation and adept at monitoring metrics
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working seamlessly with teams and stakeholders
- Strategic thinker, developing category strategies aligned with business goals
- Proactive decision-maker, considering risks, opportunities, and stakeholder needs
