This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach
This position is part time eligible with 80%.

Post Doc: This Position is limited for 2 years.

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- In your new role you will identify opportunities and implement innovative statistical simulation methods that will revolutionize clinical trial and clinical development program planning.
- You will prepare ready-to-use software, technical reports, and publications in collaboration with stakeholders within and outside of Boehringer Ingelheim.
- Moreover, you will have supervision of students (master’s and bachelor’s level) on subtopics within the area defined above, leading to internship reports, theses, and related software.
- Showcase your achievements by presenting your results at both internal and external meetings, and gain recognition in the scientific community through publications in peer-reviewed journals.

**Requirements**:

- PhD degree in Mathematics/Statistics or related field
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in developing, applying, researching, and evaluating statistical simulations, preferably within the context of clinical trials and clinical development, including the exploration of potentially innovative clinical trial designs via simulations
- Familiarity with R packages that aid Bayesian MCMC in simulations, like rJAGS, cmdstan, RBesT, is highly desirable
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with people both internally and externally, and holds the necessary work authorization for Germany Fluency in English written and spoken
