**Duties**:
The job holder serves as the cashier at Consulate Munich and is responsible for 30,000 cash on hand and up to 80,000 during visits. The cashier oversees day to day financial operations of the consulate and trains the alternate cashier. The incumbent makes cash and electronic transfer payments, reviews all vouchers presented for completeness, utilizes an automated cashier program to record and verify transactions, and coordinates and/or performs accommodation exchange. The cashier is supervised by the Management Officer.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Four years of experience as a cashier, cost accountant, bookkeeper, voucher examiner, or accounts payable/receivable assistant are required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must possess good knowledge of the German banking system and procedures. Must have a thorough understanding of cashiering operations.
- Education Requirements:
Two years of post-secondary education is required.
- Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:
English: Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate.

German: Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent facility with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word are required. Must be skilled in the use of basic office equipment including calculator, cash count machine, copier, printer and computer. Must be able to manage and account for all cash on hand. Must be able to reconcile accounts and maintain daily accountability.
