Job Intro
As a Media Producer, you will work at the intersection of creativity and project management for external communication measures and campaigns, addressing developers and businesses using DLT/blockchain technology.
You will be the leading force in the development of such measures, proactively gathering information e.g. about an upcoming software release, interpret it and develop ideas how to translate it into something that captures the interests of the target audience.
Being the directly responsible individual, it will be your task to prepare the information your fellow team members in the communications department require to produce the material and assets you define. You will propose scope, idea, concept and assets for campaigns, microsites and services, proactively involve members from your own and other departments, oversee the production of items, in time, scope and budget.
As you are the individual carrying the most knowledge for the task at hand, you will be required to proactively share your knowledge with other team members to provide them with everything they need to fulfill their roles. While your role involves a lot of planning, over
- and foresight, you will not only hand over information to others and instruct them what to do: as you are the person carrying the most knowledge about the topic at hand, it will also be your task to prepare material, copy text and messaging for assets, websites and other material and items yourself.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Serve as a Media Producer including but not limited to ideation and definition of communication campaigns and their messaging, concepts for campaign microsites, manage the sourcing and integration of third party services, production of media assets in alignment with heads of design and communications, as well as colleagues from other departments:
- disseminate raw information and retrieve additional information from other departments and domain experts in the IOTA Foundation
- define scope, responsible individuals, topic and release-based core messages and develop ideas for content, visualizations, animations or storylines for video production
- develop briefings and plan production in alignment with colleagues from the communications department and other involved departments
- provide required copy text while aligning with long form copy writers and editors
- ensure that all information required for production by designers, motion designers, social media team and writers is complete,accurate, oversee production of assets and assure scope and quality
- help define details of release/publication strategies to communicate certain products or brands by proposing channels and timing
- align with social media managers on publications and help defining release plans
- provide editorial and ideation support for content being published across ecosystem-owned channels and for paid media
- Interact with the IOTA community at meetups, community engagements and conferences in a professional manner.
- be an evangelist for the IOTA mission through speeches, written communications, business development pitches, etc.
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of experience working with a notable creative / marketing / PR agency or directly for a tech brand, especially within a start-up environment
- Previous copywriting and copyediting experience
- Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills in english (including a command of AP style, excellent grasp of grammar, syntax, and punctuation, sharp editing skills and fluency in proofreading for tone, structure, accuracy)
- Experience in creating, adapting, and iterating marketing messages across multiple digital channels, for owned, earned and paid media
- Strong ability to keep track of requirements, tasks, change requests and timelines with a high degree of attention to detail and cost awareness
- Excellent communication
- and alignment skills, a high degree of proactivity and willingsness to act as directly responsible individual leading the development and execution of campaigns
**Would be a plus**:
- Demonstrable experience of the IT/technology sector; experience with distributed ledger technology or blockchain is a big plus
- Social media copywriting is a plus
- “Headlining" and advertising experience is a plus
- Native English proficiency is a plus
- Ideally, experience in script writing
- Ideally, demonstrable knowledge of SEO-oriented copywriting
- Ideally, knowledge and demonstrable experience with forms of paid media campaigns, tools, networks or platforms
