Bar Supervisor

**Introduction**:
O'Reilly's Irish pub group was founded in 1994. We operate 7 bars and restaurants between Holland, Belgium and Germany.

Our **main activities**:

- Operate an authentic Irish pub, run it to a high standard, with an attention to detail.
- Provide an excellent atmosphere to relax, watch sports, celebrate and be entertained.
- Oversee the serving of premium drinks and contemporary cocktails, alongside food which is home cooked and seasonal.
- Ensure that staff deliver hospitality that is friendly, positive, and professional and exceeds expectations.
- Maintain a management style which is effective, efficient and systems focused.

As a senior bar tender, you play a significant part in helping us to achieve these objectives.

Our business is run over four departments and your role in each is as follows:
**HR: (Create a team)**
- Promote our culture, values and mindset.
- Assist colleagues wherever possible to create a cohesive team.
- Organising and implementing the onboarding, training and assessment of staff behind the bar.
- Adhere to our in-house system regarding all aspects of HR such as time off request, sick, holidays, appearance and punctuality.

**Operations (Operate our system)**
- Operates all systems with impeccable order and discipline.
- Has a full working knowledge of all relevant equipment, along with basic maintenance.
- Responsible for ensuring gas bar levels are in order on a weekly basis.
- Assist with cocktail and menu development.
- Able to control open tables.
- Understanding alcohol awareness and responsible drinking.
- Implementation of the key points of service.
- Responsible for keeping the drink bible up to date.
- Obtains a high level of product knowledge.
- Adheres to and is responsible for overseeing all stock procedures, such as recording all forms of usage, placing orders and doing stock takes.
- Maintain hygiene and product standards in the bar.
- Oversee's coldroom maintenance and hygiene.
- Carry out other duties as advised.

**Finance: (Deliver a profit)**
- Always look to improve our financial effectiveness and efficiency.
- Fully aware of all KPIs relevant to bar stock.
- Adhere to our cash management SOPs. Which includes tills, handhelds, credit cards, purse counts.

**Marketing: (Exceeds expectations)**
- Exceeds expectations of colleagues and customers.
- Demonstrates a high level of colleague and customer interaction.
- Ability to make customers feel welcome and comfortable.
- Ensure customer queries are dealt with in a timely manner.

**The following are required**:

- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Excellent planning and communication skills.
- No interest in cocktails and menu development.
- High attention to detail.
- Good computer skills.
- Available to work weekends, bank holidays until 5am, when needed.
- Ability to deliver a high level of hospitality.
