**Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Systems Navigator**

SRI is seeking committed and passionate professionals to provide critical resources and information to support active, reserve, retired, and separated Service Members.

**This job posting is in response to a request for proposals from the DoD. By ing in advance of the award of the contract, SRI will be able to consider and pre-qualify applicants, should SRI be awarded the contract. This work is scheduled to begin in mid-February 2023.**

**Overview**:
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Systems Navigators provide outreach, coordination, support, and non-clinical case management services to Soldiers and Families and their Exceptional Family Members at Army Garrisons worldwide. An Exceptional Family Member can be a child or adult family member with a physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder requiring special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling. The Systems Navigator’s role is to assist Army Soldiers and Families in navigating through the system of Army, Community, State, and Federal agencies that provide support or benefits.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Army Community Services and Army Medical Center EFMP Managers to identify Soldiers and Families with Exceptional Family Members and coordinate requisite EFMP services.
- Brief Soldiers and Family members on available programs, policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Provide non-clinical case management support to families participating in EFMP.
- Develop relationships with Army and Community agencies able to provide support and make referrals appropriate to needs.
- Support installation events planned for the benefit of EFMP Families.
- Gather data to support program metrics on the health and success of the local program.

**Minimum Required Skills, Education, Experience & Abilities**:

- Bachelor’s Degree, directly related to social work; psychology; marriage, family; and child counseling; counseling our behavioral science; education; community health or public health; or business management.
- Two years of experience in family related case management and/or social work.
- Knowledge of human service principles and practices, individual family needs and problems relative to case management and changing social patterns, knowledge of military and civilian community (local, state, and Federal) programs and laws, practices, regulations regarding medical, educational, and family support services.
- Ability to research, analyze, and conduct studies to evaluate effectiveness of program operations, resolve problems, and develop a comprehensive coordinated EFMP Family Service Plan.
- Ability to work at an accelerated pace.
- Proven customer service skills and strong communication skills (oral and written).
