**Job Description**:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join **Wärme Berlin AG** as the **Head of Procurement**. You will be responsible to ensure the efficient and effective sourcing of goods and services to support our company's operations. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the procurement process. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and contribute to overall business success. This function reports directly into the CFO.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a purchasing strategy and higher-level supplier management
- Lead procurement activities for the operational core business or projects (usually EU tenders) as well as for supporting functions
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, selection, and contract management; develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Additional responsibilities:
- Insurances: Selection of providers, negotiation and handling of insurance contracts
- Real Estate & Facility Management: Manage own and rented real estate incl. services & fleet
**Qualifications**:
**Professional Experiences / Qualifications**
- Master´s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, preferably within an international matrix organization with previous leadership background
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices and procurement software and systems
- Experience in supplier relationship management and performance evaluation with strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and process improvements
- Business fluent in both German and English, with German as key working language
