The role supports as part of the global trade compliance team with the following responsibilities and tasks related to Germany, in addition to some international activity.
- Prepare import declarations (SAP GTS) and support colleagues doing export declarations
- Managing a team of 4-6 people
- Classification of goods (Customs tariff numbers, maintain export control data)
- Prepare and maintain preferential origin related data and documents
- Maintain licenses and do reporting for special Customs procedures (inward processing relief, end use, etc.)
- Accurate management of customs-relevant data in SAP GTS, other Customs software solutions and connected systems (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA).
- Optimize customs activities by working with other departments
- Overseeing compliance with export control

**Requirements**:

- 7+ years of experience in customs, including at least 2 years in leading a team
- Commercial qualification on wholesale and foreign trade or equivalent qualification
- Experienced in classification (preferrable in food/nutrition sector)
- Experienced with preparing customs declarations in SAP/GTS (preferably) and/or other customs software systems is an advantage
- Used to work as part of international logistic processes and business transactions
- Proficiency in English and German (C1/C2)
- Accurate, structured and data-driven personality
- Ability to prioritize workload and work under time pressure
- Curious and enthusiastic contributing to building a positive team spirit
