Your new role
Offshore Construction has the mission statement “we make happen, safely” and if you want to become a key driver and part of the construction senior management team this is a great opportunity for you.
Siemens Gamesa is the market and technology leader in offshore wind and this role is key to remain in a leading spot for the medium and long term. Our construction organization manages critical resources such as ports, vessels and technicians and has the capacity and competencies to install up to 500 offshore wind turbines globally per year. We cover all geographies from US to Europe and APAC.
More specifically to your role and team
- You will be part of the construction senior management team and directly report to the Global Head of Construction offshore wind
- You will lead a growing team of 35 employees divided in four sub teams
- Your team drives operational performance tracking and management of deviations (Lean construction workflows, continuous improvement)
- Your team provides operational expert support to ongoing construction execution projects
- Your team drives our digital innovation and data management roadmap in construction. This includes project management and implementation of defined digitalization projects
- Your team drives the strategic development of future construction concepts. E.g., how to install next generation turbines, floating wind
Your qualifications
Besides the passion for wind turbines and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are looking for the following qualifications:
- Significant work experience, ideally in project execution and construction for offshore / onshore wind
- Leadership experience managing an international team
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Economics, or similar
- Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Result-orientated, self-driven and persistent person while also being open
- English: fluent plus ideally a second language e.g., German, Danish or Spanish
