What you will do

As a Customs Specialist (M/F/d) you will ensure customs processes consistency and accuracy with European Customs Law and companies global and regional policies on imports and export in EMEA. You will be contributing to the awareness of compliance requirements regarding customs across the organization, through cross functional support and trainings. The role will be based in our EMEA Headquarters in Hannover (Germany).

Main Responsibilities:

- Supporting function to the business for problem solving on import and export procedures in respective locations within EMEA region
- Broker management / Central Customs Tower: point of contact in EMEA, coordinating, monitoring and handling of irregularities including escalations
- Support the implementation and monitoring of customs clearance processes for all EMEA entities
- Simplified customs procedure handling, including developing reports, process descriptions, corrective actions
- Determination and Handling of Customs Tariff codes
- Request and creation of long-term suppliers declarations for EMEA, including INF4 handling
- Supporting Trade Compliance on special projects, internal and external Audits
- Customs Software Management handling - ATLAS

What we look for

Required
- Completed vocational training as industrial clerk or similar education
- Advanced work experience in the area of Customs / Trade Compliance
- Proficient knowledge of European Union import and export procedures and customs law
- Proven competency in communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational and planning skills and teaming skills, project management skills are a plus
- Ability to work ethically and with full integrity when supporting decisions on daily customs topics for the company
- Exceptional proficiency in working with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Proficient skills with ATLAS and SAP
- Excellent German and English language skills, other European languages, preferably Spanish, French or Czech are a plus
