Data Security and Governance Specialist

**Task Description**:

- Design, implement, and manage robust data security measures for the new Data Platform.
- Develop and enforce data security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, including data stewardship and data quality management.
- Develop and implement data classification schemes and handling procedures.
- Oversee data lifecycle management, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Conduct data security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
- Identify and mitigate data security risks associated with the Data Platform implementation.
- Implement data encryption, masking, and anonymization techniques where necessary.
- Collaborate with IT, data management, and business units to ensure cohesive data security and governance strategies.
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on data security and governance for staff.
- Provide guidance and support to data stewards and other stakeholders.
- Monitor data access and usage to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.
- Generate regular reports on data security and governance metrics for senior management.
- Develop and maintain data security and governance documentation.

**Skill Requirement**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security, data governance, or a related field.
- Proven experience with data platform implementations in a financial services or digital banking environment.
- Strong understanding of data security regulations and standards.
- Experience with data governance tools and frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of data security technologies and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data security tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud security and data privacy concepts.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Hybrid work with the ability to travel internationally
- Fluent and proficient written and spoken English
