About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Game Linguist fluent in both Chinese and English to join our talented localization team. As a Game Linguist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of our games into the Chinese market while maintaining their original essence and quality. You will be responsible for translating, reviewing, proofreading, and testing game-related content in your language, adhering to existing quality standards.
- Translate, review, proofread, evaluate, and test game-related content in Chinese and English while adhering to established quality standards.
- Analyze and resolve culturally sensitive issues specific to the Chinese market to eliminate potential risks and ensure localization success.
- Collaborate closely with game developers, publishing teams, and localization project managers to understand project requirements, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and coordinate with internal and external linguists to ensure high-quality localization.
- Create and maintain comprehensive reference materials, style guides, term bases, and know-hows for your owned projects and languages, facilitating a consistent and unified localization approach.
- Train and assist translators during the localization process, providing guidance and expertise to ensure accurate and culturally relevant translations.
- Organize and train expert resources involved in localization projects, fostering a skilled and capable team.

**Requirements**:

- Native speaker of English, with exceptional written skills in English and Chinese.
- A profound understanding of the gaming industry, culture, and gaming community in your native country.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify and resolve linguistic and cultural challenges effectively.
