The ABB Training Center in Heidelberg is an educational service provider of ABB Germany for dual training professions as well as for dual study programs at the DHBW Mannheim. The focus of the vocational training are in the areas of metal and electrical engineering as well as mechatronics. Our customers from ABB's business units as well as partner companies from the metropolitan regions of Rhine-Neckar and Rhine-Main metropolitan regions, we support them with a modern and high-quality basic training for their apprentices. **This position reports to**:
Ausbildungsleiter Elektroberufe

**Your responsibilities**:

- Carrying out the practical and theoretical training of trainees in the areas of electrical engineering, pneumatics and mechanics
- Imparting knowledge and skills in accordance with the training ordinance and internal training plan
- Supporting trainees in preparing for exams and in company and external projects
- Supporting trainees in the development of technical, methodological and social skills
- Cooperation with partner companies, vocational schools and the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce)
- Preparing and implementing new teaching and learning concepts in relation to digitalization

**Your background**:

- Completed training as a mechatronics technician
- Ideally, further training to become a state-certified technician or master craftsperson
- Trainer aptitude test available
- Several years of work experience
- Knowledge in the field of programmable logic controllers
- Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting mechatronic systems
- Very good computer skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and German and willingness to work abroad together with the trainees
- Independent and self-reliant way of working as well as willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a team and empathy
