This individual will represent the field of the interplay of Systems Engineering and Methods of AI in both research and teaching capacities.

Within the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region, the Technical University of Darmstadt and its environs embody a vibrant international atmosphere. Central to this is a cosmopolitan environment fostering functional multilingualism within our university community. Consequently, proficient English skills are essential, with an expectation of acquiring good German proficiency within three years.
The assistant professorship is designated as a qualification professorship according to -70 HessHG (Hessian Higher Education Act).Accordingly, the duration of the academic activity during and after the doctorate should generally not exceed nine years or the scientific activity after the doctorate four years. This maximum duration may be extended if necessary in the case of children under the legal requirements of - 70 HessHG. Furthermore, applicants should have completed their doctorate at a university other than TU Darmstadt or have worked scientifically outside TU Darmstadt for at least two years after completing their doctorate.
The assistant professorship is initially limited to six years and comes with the option of a tenured professorship after a successfully completed tenure process. The tenure process, which can be initiated one and a half years before the end of the assistant professorship, evaluates the corresponding achievements in research and teaching. Upon successful completion of the tenure review, the position immediate becomes a tenured W3 professorship. A comparable employment relationship is possible.
