**This is a temporary assignment not to exceed 90 days.**

**GSE/AGE Mechanic**:
**The GSE/AGE Mechanic** repairs and maintains assigned United States Air Force (USAF) Support Equipment (SE). Performs routine and extended maintenance on Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) units.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Inspects, repairs, and maintains assigned support equipment, using the applicable maintenance instructions and related technical data.
- Performs corrective maintenance on all SE and AGE equipment.
- Monitors bench stock items and requests items as needed.
- Detects and treats corrosion on assigned SE and AGE.
- Enters required data on maintenance forms manual or automated.
- Changes oil and lubricates units on a scheduled basis.
- Files work sheets for maintenance accomplished on all units with department manager.
- Maintains hand and power tools in accordance with applicable directives.
- Performs emergency maintenance as required outside normal duty hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school certification or equivalent military experience
- A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in powered AGE/vehicle maintenance is required.
- The ability to speak, read and write English, and to comprehend technical data is required.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of AGE equipment repairs, troubleshooting of systems, sub-systems and associated equipment, and applicable publications.
- Experience in air-conditioning system repair is desired.
- Forklift experience desired.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English, and to comprehend technical data.
- Must receive authorization to work in Germany

**Contract Requirements in accordance with Appendix J**:

- Completed training on AGE maintenance from military technical school or an accredited technical school/college/university.
