The Günther lab is offering a PhD position for a highly motivated persoen. The project is integrated in a DFG funded research consortium (TRR DIONE) We are interested in innate immune mechanisms in the skin and their impact on associated arthritis formation in patients with psoriasis. Our group uses state of the art biomedical technologies to characterize the innate immune cell compartment in the skin and assesses its migratory capacities. Within the DFG funded consortium these analysis will be performed in human cells as well as in mouse models.

Starting at April 1st, 2024 we are looking for a highly motivated

**PhD positon in innate immunology (f/m/x)**:
This part-time position is initially limited to 36 months. Remuneration is in accordance with the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L).

Independent planning, preparation, implementation, evaluation, scientific description, publication and presentation of predominantly immunological and molecular biological studies to work on the project: Cross-talk between skin and joints affects bone homeostasis in psoriatic arthritis.
The position holder's workplace includes the in-vitro laboratories of the Department of Dermatology and other laboratories within the University Hospital, the CRTD and the institutes of the Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden. The main place of work will be house 21. Special analysis devices are also used at other scientific institutions.
Guidance of medical doctoral students and medical-technical assistants as well as student assistants in experimental work on the above-mentioned topic in consultation with the supervisor.

**Your profile**:

- Diploma thesis or Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine or related fields
- Previous experience with basic biochemical and immunological techniques is essential
- High motivation and strong interest in tumor immunology
- Excellent English language skills
- Enthusiasm for working in an ambitious, multi-disciplinary research Group
