Expert Analytical Characterization

**Job Description**:
**Your Key Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Independently set up, plan, conduct HDX-MS experiments from sample preparation to data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. These are related to analytical characterization activities as well as method development including qualification in a modern analytical lab with state-of-the-art equipment, working under development compliance standard.
- Ensure good documentation practices.
- Prepare protocols, scientific reports, laboratory procedures, or process-related SOPs.
- Support the team for the development of biosimilars, working in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Provide HDX-MS training to other scientific associates and actively drive knowledge exchange.
- Assist in instrumentations maintenance including UPLC system, LEAP robot and mass spectrometer.
- Communicate, address and tackle problems (e.g. unexpected results from experiments) within own & broader area of responsibility and lead root cause investigations.
- Be part of an open and motivated team with flat hierarchies, bring in your networking skills and collaborate across boundaries.
- Bring in and realize your ideas and improvement proposals, be creative, open-minded, think bold and inspire others.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:
Essential Requirements:

- Ideally PhD degree in analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry or related fields with several years of post-doctoral training.
- Profound research experience and knowledge in HDX-MS
- Track record of conducting independent and creative research and compiling analytical reports in English, and excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proficient oral and written skills in English and German.
- Experience with the HDX system (LEAP robot, H/DX manager, nanoAcquity solvent manger) connected to Bruker TimsToF MS
- Experience in the statistical analysis and validation of large-scale HDX datasets
- Experience with the HDX-MS analysis of biopharmaceuticals (e.g. mAb)
