To strengthen our research group Neurobiology and Psychology of Sleep and Memory we are looking for a

as soon as possible.
The position is initially limited to 3 years with an option for further employment.

This position shall lay the groundwork for future avenues of the research group. It therefore comes with a lot of flexibility how regarding the research, but should be focused on sleep and memory. The group is highly committed to open and reproducible research practices.

Your Tasks

Running a large online study in the area of sleep and memory (no prior experience with online experiments required)

Develop and validate novel learning tasks for sleep and memory research

Running experiments in sleep and memory research (also in the sleep lab)

Our Requirements

Diligence in running experiments with humans

Interest in mechanisms of learning and memory

Interest in neuroscience / biological psychology

High levels of motivation, flexibility and independence Interest in or ideally experience with open and reproducible research (We can teach you, if you are still a novice in this area)

Ideally skills in a scientifically relevant programming language (R, Python, Matlab) or the willingness to learn
