WHAT WE OFFER

As our Lead Internal Auditor (M/F/d), you will be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our processes and systems. You will lead audits, mentor team members, and provide crucial insights that help us continuously improve.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Audit Leadership: Supervise and guide team members through audit preparation, fieldwork, and report finalization- Travel: Opportunity to travel internationally up to 30%, with potentially three weeks on-site presence- Recommendation Follow-up: Ensure proposed recommendations are effectively implemented by the auditee- Process Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate technical processes for risk, efficiency, effectiveness, profitability, and sustainability- Internal Controls: Assess internal control systems and ensure compliance with Covestro guidelines, laws, and regulations- Benchmarking: Compare local processes against Best Practices within Covestro Group and industry standards, advising on possible improvements- Compliance Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations in compliance cases- Support: Assist the Audit Manager in all aspects of audit execution and reporting

WHAT YOU OFFER- Educational Background: Academic degree in Engineering or Science and ideally MBA- Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a responsible position in project management, plant management, plant maintenance or similar function, or comparable (admin) function in a peer multinational company or a big 4 auditing firm- Leadership: At least 1-2 years of experience in leading and mentoring (project) team members- Work Style: Structured, independent, reliable, and adaptable to changing teams- Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical and conceptual abilities- Interpersonal Skills: Team player with the ability to interact at various organizational levels and in diverse locations- Languages: Business fluent in German and English; proficiency in another foreign language is a plus
