Junior Professorship (W1-Prof.) for Prevention and early intervention in the area of mental health in children and adolescents (f/m/d)

The position holder should represent the entire range of issues relating to prevention and early intervention in the field of mental health in children and adolescents in child and adolescent psychiatric research and teaching. Furthermore, support is expected for the design of new teaching formats in the training hospital and, for example, as part of the clinic's numerous e-learning programmes and their evaluation. The Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry/Psychotherapy is unique in the field of research into psychological trauma with numerous, topic-related and in some cases ongoing projects. In this respect, close interdisciplinary cooperation is expected with the Centre for Trauma Research and with the working groups in the context of the newly established German Centres for Health Research. As part of the planned German Centres for Health Research, the clinic will focus on prevention and intervention in connection with early childhood stress, coping with chronic illnesses in everyday life and dealing with multiple forms of child abuse.
An existing network of the post holder with international colleagues in trauma research is desirable and should be expanded as part of the professorship.

Employment is as a tempory civil servant or as an employee; as a rule, for a term of 6 year.
