Senior Software Engineering Manager

Location: Starnberg (near Munich), Germany Company Background Our client is a company that operates as an independent entity under the umbrella of the Parent company. The company is led by a German CEO and the CTO. This position reports directly to the CTO. The company offers a unique work environment that combines the agility and short communication paths of a small company with the stability and resources of a large corporate structure. Role and Responsibilities The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager Team Lead is to take ownership of development projects and foster a strong sense of collaboration within the team. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 7-8 developers. Key responsibilities include: Team Stabilization and Modernization: Further stabilize the existing development team, fostering a collaborative and modern work environment. Project Integration: Oversee and manage the integration of various development projects. Technology Modernization: Introduce and implement modern development techniques and technologies, including: Cloud Development Modernizing the technology stack Updating and modernizing both frontend and backend technologies Candidate Profile Experience: Proven experience in a senior software development management role. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of developers. Strong project management skills, with a track record of taking ownership and delivering results. FLUENT GERMAND and English is a MUST Technical Skills: Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java is essential; experience with PHP would be a plus. Frontend/Backend Technologies: Experience with modern frontend and backend technologies is required. Personal Attributes: Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in a team. Proactive and willing to take initiative. Work Arrangement The position requires the candidate to be in the office 3 days a week, with the remaining 2 days available for remote work.
