Our holistic TechBio platform combines proprietary analytics and cutting-edge data science to push the boundaries of live bacterial product (LBP) development. mbiomics is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Microbiology team as Technical Assistant/Research Associate. You will play a central role in our innovative research team. We are looking for an individual with proven laboratory experience to support the team, strong organizational skills and a genuine passion for actively participating in future-oriented projects in the field of microbiome research. JOB DESCRIPTION Perform sterilization and disinfection of labware. Manage Biohazard Level II (Bio-II) waste sterilization and disposal. Organize and maintain cleanliness in laboratories and the sterilization room. Operate the laboratory dishwasher for cleaning plasticware and glassware. Maintain adequate level of consumables and labware in the laboratory. Conduct routine quality control (QC) checks on laboratory equipment. Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory maintenance tasks. Monitor stock levels of laboratory consumables and chemicals. Conduct routine environmental hygiene monitoring. Receive and process laboratory deliveries. Assist team members with reagent and microbiological media preparation. Document routine laboratory maintenance work and media preparation activities. Provide support to team members as needed REQUIREMENTS Experience in a biological/biochemical/biotechnological laboratory is mandatory. Willingness to learn about microbiology and new technologies. Attention to detail and commitment to following protocols and maintaining compliance with laboratory safety regulations. Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills Fluent English language skills required, German language skills a plus.
