Nearly 5,000 employees in more than 70 countries generated net sales of around €1.68 billion in the fiscal year 2023/2024. It focuses on plant breeding and the production and sale of seed for sugarbeet, corn, cereals, vegetables, oilseed rape and sunflower. KWS uses leading-edge plant breeding methods to continuously improve yield for farmers and plants' resistance to diseases, pests and abiotic stress. To that end, the company invested more than €300 million last fiscal year in research and development. We are looking for interested and motivated people between mid May and mid October to 3-4 months period, in full time (38 hours per week) to support our plant tissue culture activities at our headquarters in Einbeck through the high workload period as part of a temporary seasonal contract. If you would like to find out more about sterile laboratory work and production of double haploids, we would like to hear from you. Carry out all sterile laboratory work steps in connection with the production of double haploid lines by using different tissue culture procedures Support the preparation of the plant material for ploidy analysis Take part in double haploid production related glasshouse activities (such as harvest) Working in sterile environment is advantage but not essential Good German or good level of English with basic level (A1-2) of German knowledge is essential As a family-run company we are guided by the values of closeness, reliability, foresight and independence; this culture is lived in practice creating thus an open and friendly working atmosphere.
