Allerton Bishop is partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing company to appoint a Managing Director – Operations for a flagship site in Lower Saxony, Germany.
This is a pivotal executive leadership role, responsible for site-wide operations, strategic execution, commercial delivery, and organisational performance at a facility central to the company’s global biopharmaceutical network. As Managing Director - Operations, you will lead the site through continued growth, operational excellence, and regulatory confidence, with full accountability for revenue, EBITDA, client delivery, and quality outcomes.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Site Director, Managing Director or Operation Director to make a defining impact at a high-visibility site within a global organisation.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations , you will oversee the day-to-day performance of the facility, leading cross-functional teams across manufacturing, quality, supply chain and engineering.

You will shape strategy, deliver operational excellence and ensure the site meets the highest standards of GMP compliance, safety, and performance.
Regulatory compliance and inspection readiness
As the Managing Director, Operations you will drive site P&L performance, including revenue, EBITDA, budget adherence, and cost efficiency .
Execute business strategy, local initiatives, and process improvements to support site expansion and performance goals.
Maintain strict compliance with EU and US GMP , GLP, and industry-specific regulatory expectations.
Exposure to LEAN, Six Sigma and continuous improvement principles.
~ Fluent in German and English (essential).
