Head/Director of Product Management R&D – Food & Nutrition Cologne, Germany €100-130k + benefits + relocation Office based The Company A leading European manufacturer within the food and nutrition sector is seeking a Head of Product Management to join their senior team. The Role This is an exciting leadership opportunity to take strategic and operational responsibility for product management within the Food & Nutrition division. You’ll play a key role in shaping the product portfolio, driving innovation, and ensuring commercial success across multiple categories. Working closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain, you’ll oversee the full product lifecycle — from concept and development to launch and optimisation. The position requires a hands-on, commercially minded leader who combines strategic vision with strong project management and team development skills. Key Accountabilities Lead the overall product management strategy for the Food & Nutrition portfolio. Drive new product development and relaunch projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities. Manage the full product lifecycle from concept to launch and continuous improvement. Define assortment strategy, pricing, and margin development. Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Management team. Work closely with suppliers and production sites to ensure quality and efficiency. Person Profile Degree in Food Technology, Nutritional Science, or a related discipline. Several years’ experience in product management within the food, nutrition, or FMCG sector. Strong record of leading product launches and managing end-to-end development projects. Excellent analytical and commercial skills with a strategic, entrepreneurial mindset. Passionate about consumer trends, product innovation, and brand growth. Proven leadership and people management experience. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
