FPV Drone Pilot

About us We are an early-stage, VC-backed European defence startup building advanced small UAVs and ground control systems. We move fast, test in the real world, and care about results more than titles. Our work directly supports European sovereignty and security. The role We’re looking for a full-time FPV drone pilot and tinkerer. Degree or not - we don’t care. What matters is that you can build, tune, fly, break, fix, and repeat. You will work hands-on with real prototypes. This is an execution role close to hardware, software, and flight testing. What you’ll do • Assemble, configure, and fly FPV drones and UAV prototypes • Tune flight controllers and PID gains (Betaflight, PX4 and similar) • Set up and debug RC links, receivers, ESCs, motors, and video systems • Prepare aircraft for test flights and demos • Prepare aircraft for official tests, customer demos, and evaluations • Act as pilot during customer demos, trials, and acceptance tests • Run structured flight tests and give blunt, useful feedback • Document setups, configs, and changes so others can reproduce them • Support prototype builds, repairs, and field operations You’re a fit if you • Actively fly and tune FPV drones (racing, freestyle, long-range — all fine) • Know your way around Betaflight, PX4 and flight behaviour • Are a hands-on tinkerer who enjoys hardware, not just screens • Can work independently and take ownership of a drone end-to-end • Don’t hide behind process, excuses, or buzzwords • Are an EU citizen or eligible for EU security clearance Nice to have • Basic scripting or coding skills • Experience with field testing, logging, or structured experiments • Strong soldering and rapid repair skills What we offer • Full-time, hands-on work on real UAV systems • Direct impact on flight performance and product quality • Fast learning curve and close collaboration with senior engineers • Access to lab, workshop, and flight test sites • Competitive compensation based on skill and output No bullshit clause If you like building, flying, and making things work - you’ll love it here.
