Portfolio Analyst / Portfolio Manager – Onshore Wind Berlin | €70k - €90k (Potnetiallly some flex or the right candidate) Amber Renewables is partnering with a rapidly expanding Independent Power Producer that has recently secured significant investment to accelerate the growth and optimisation of its onshore wind portfolio across Germany. To support this next phase of expansion, we are seeking a motivated and analytical Portfolio Analyst / Portfolio Manager to join their investment and portfolio team in Berlin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the energy transition who wants to work directly with operating onshore wind assets , contributing to financial planning, portfolio performance, and strategic analysis. The Role In this position, you will play a crucial role in post-acquisition integration, portfolio valuation, and financial analysis, ensuring the continued success of a growing onshore wind asset base. Key responsibilities include: Financial Modelling & Analysis Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate business scenarios, project economics, and portfolio performance. Collaborate with internal teams to gather operational and financial inputs, supporting investment evaluation, budgeting, and forecasting. Update financial assumptions in line with market trends, operational insights, and evolving portfolio data. Conduct deep-dive financial analysis of the German onshore wind portfolio to identify performance trends and support strategic decision-making. Perform sensitivity analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and value drivers. Support the development of automated tools, dataflows, and a central business intelligence database. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist the finance team with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting. Ensure financial outputs are aligned with company objectives and portfolio growth plans. Provide timely, concise responses to management queries with accurate financial insights. Your Profile Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, management, or a related field; a Master’s or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is an advantage. Ideally 2+ years' experience in financial analysis or portfolio management — preferably within renewable energy, energy supply, consulting, or investment banking. Strong financial modelling capabilities and advanced Excel proficiency; experience with BI or data tools is a plus. Genuine interest in the energy transition and strong motivation to work in onshore wind . Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a structured approach to managing complex datasets. Excellent communication skills in German (preferred) and English (fluent) . Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
