About the Company AEW Automotive Systems GmbH is a key branch of the AEW Group in Europe, dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering and system solutions for the global automotive industry. With a strong project portfolio involving major OEMs such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen Group, Stellantis, and Renault, AEW supports innovation in safety and intelligent vehicle systems across the European market. The German office not only leads project development but also plays a strategic role in supporting AEW's global manufacturing expansion, including in Romania and Morocco. About the Role We are looking for a Product Engineer with a strong background in automotive components, ideally in steering wheel systems. You will work on feasibility assessments, design optimization, and development of engineering documents in line with automotive standards. Responsibilities Familiar with the automotive product development process; experience with steering wheel systems is a strong plus. Proficient in quality systems such as IATF16949, and able to prepare APQP, DFMEA and other engineering documentation. Conduct feasibility assessments for new projects, troubleshoot issues in product design, and propose/implement optimization solutions. Fluent in English and German Willingness to travel across Europe and occasionally to North America for customer or plant visits. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; background in both mechanical and electrical design is a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in product development in the automotive industry. Required Skills Skilled in design software such as AutoCAD, ZWCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, or UG. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and responsible attitude. We would like to offer a competitive salary package with year-end bonuses.
