What You Will Be Doing Using your deep expertise in educational products to guide strategic decisionmaking Crafting technical specifications that prioritize simplicity, efficiency, and longterm sustainability Implementing generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering processes, aligning with our vision to minimize manual labor What You Wont Be Doing Focusing solely on people management; your business and technical skills are crucial in this role Spending excessive time in meetings, committees, or administrative tasks; we've streamlined management to allow you to concentrate on handson work that creates business value Proposing highlevel strategies without actionable implementation plans; your insights must derive from productlevel understanding Vice President Of Product Engineering Key Responsibilities Function as the CTO for one or more educational products, managing core competencies and enhancing business value through strategic execution and decisionmaking Basic Requirements Profound experience and interest in datadriven learning science Over 7 years of experience in making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture patterns and significant open source technologies More than 2 years of experience in design decisions involving cloud computing services, primarily AWS At least 4 years of experience in roles with full technical and delivery ownership of a revenuegenerating product Experience in developing product features that leverage Generative AI Proficiency in using Generative AI to streamline work processes About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesnt have to be.
