Post-Quantum Cryptography Specialist
vor 2 Wochen
Play a key role in designing and deploying the next generation of cryptographic systems that will protect data in the quantum era. As a Post‑Quantum Cryptography Engineer, you will design, implement, and integrate NIST‑standard PQC algorithms into real‑world systems such as TLS, VPN, PKI, secure messaging, and embedded platforms. Working closely with security and platform teams, you will help define the organisation’s quantum‑safe roadmap and ensure that critical services remain secure against emerging threats. What you will do Design and implement classical and post‑quantum cryptographic primitives (e.g. Kyber, Dilithium, SPHINCS+) with a strong focus on correctness, interoperability, and performance. Build and maintain cryptographic libraries/SDKs and APIs used by other teams and customers, targeting languages like C/C++ and sometimes Rust or Python. Integrate PQC into protocols and systems such as TLS, VPN, identity and access management, KMS/HSM, IoT devices, and cloud services (often in hybrid mode alongside RSA/ECC). Contribute to crypto‑migration projects: help inventory existing cryptography, define transition strategies, and validate deployments for performance and security. Harden implementations against side‑channel and fault attacks using constant‑time coding, testing, and collaboration with hardware/security specialists. Collaborate with cryptographers, platform/security engineers, and product teams to review designs, debug tricky issues, and turn standards and research into robust products. What you bring Strong background in applied cryptography or security engineering, with hands‑on experience implementing or integrating public‑key schemes (even if PQC exposure is recent). Solid programming skills in at least one systems language (C/C++ preferred) and comfort working close to the metal, performance‑tuning, and debugging subtle issues. Familiarity with modern cryptographic protocols (TLS, VPNs, PKI, secure messaging) and an interest in how they are evolving for the post‑quantum era. Curiosity and a learning mindset: willingness to dive into NIST PQC standards, IETF drafts, and implementation guidance, and to keep up with a rapidly moving ecosystem.
