We are looking to recruit a Engineer to support with the relaunch of an engine manufacturing plan in Kiel. Project is due to start in January 2026. Key Responsibilities: Confirm and align on PFEP Define flow paths and replenishment methods for all components for the GCM24 programme Low value parts (H2K size) Mid size component parts Large component parts Design kits and how parts are stored Design pick process and method for triggering and tracking kits Design line side locations and racks for:- Stall build solution Flow cell solution Work with ME team to define POU locations based on build sequence Define all standard work for all elements of the process from warehouse through to POU process Size MHE requirements for warehouse / storage movement to and from the warehouse. Define IRA process and implement Define and implement any needed component packaging solutions. Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Logistics. PFEP & Materials Planning: Prior experience developing and managing a Plan for Every Part in complex manufacturing environments. Material Flow Design: Knowledge of defining flow paths, replenishment methods, and point-of-use (POU) logistics. Kitting & Storage Solutions: Experience designing kits, storage systems, pick processes, and tracking methods for components of varying sizes. Line-Side Logistics: Background in setting up stall build solutions, flow cells, racks, and line-side locations to support assembly. Standard Work Development: Ability to create and maintain standard work instructions across warehouse and production processes. Material Handling Equipment (MHE): Experience sizing and specifying forklifts, pallet jacks, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), or other MHE for warehouse and shop floor operations. IRA Process: Familiarity with Inventory Risk Assessment (IRA) or similar processes to ensure supply chain resilience. Packaging Engineering: Knowledge of designing and implementing component packaging solutions to protect parts and optimize handling.
