Job Description: Workday Specialist About the Role As a Workday Specialist, you will support the international rollout and continuous development of the existing Workday system, working closely with HR Business Partners and the HR Project Manager in Hamburg or Bremen. Your Responsibilities System Expertise & Configuration: Configure existing Workday modules, set up new ones, and ensure smooth system operation. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle is also welcome. Global 2nd-Level Support: Act as the main point of contact for all countries, supporting complex inquiries worldwide. Continuous Improvement: Introduce new modules, optimize existing functionalities, and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure Workday evolves with business needs and technological trends. International Rollout: Manage external implementation partners, coordinate dependencies, and guide new country implementations from planning to go-live. Release Management: Plan, test, and execute regular Workday releases, including training and advising users for optimal system use. Stakeholder Management: Consolidate requirements from different business areas, evaluate cost-benefit aspects, and translate input into clear, structured roadmaps. Your Profile Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Several years of experience in HR IT – ideally with Workday, or extensive experience with SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar systems. Strong understanding of HR processes and their implementation in global system landscapes. Excellent communication and consulting skills, with confident stakeholder management. Responsible, team-oriented working style, able to set priorities and drive initiatives in a structured manner. Fluent in German and English (spoken and written). Additional Information Focus on configuration and operational responsibility. On-site presence 4 days per week in Hamburg or Bremen. International user base of ~4,500 users across 25 countries. Live modules: HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent. Phase 2: Advanced Compensation; Phase 3: Recruiting. Autonomous role – you enjoy solving problems and taking pragmatic decisions.
