To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific expertise at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry - ideally with you on board The Institute of Medical Biochemistry, headed by Prof. Tim Lämmermann, is part of the Centre of Molecular Biology of Inflammation (ZMBE) and embedded within a vibrant research environment and part of various research networks. Our research focuses on investigating single cell and population dynamics during innate immune responses. The successful applicant will join an exciting research program in an international institute, hosting several research groups (Lämmermann, Rambold, Stegmeyer). Our research groups are currently seeking applicants interested in immune cell dynamics (in particular neutrophil extravasation) and organelle dynamics/metabolism in immune cells. Our research activities are integrated in several local research initiatives on inflammation and basic cell biology, e.g. CRC 1450, TRR 332 and SFB 1348. RESPONSIBILITIES Experimental investigations including cell biological, immunological, biochemical and microscopy methods Documentation of data and results Preparation of PhD thesis REQUIREMENTS Strong commitment to research and motivation for experimental work Background in cell biology, immunology, and inflammation The following fields of expertise are considered an asset Confocal microscopy and live cell imaging Working with immune cells Molecular biology techniques Immune cell dynamics, cell migration, organelle biology, and/or metabolomics An international and modern working environment Research laboratories with state-of-the art equipment including advanced microscope systems International and interdisciplinary collaborations Excellent possibilities for career development For more information and details of the research conducted please contact: Prof. Dr. T.
