The Hoxton, Charlottenburg (Berlin) – F&B Cost Controller (m/w/d)

2023 sees The Hoxton take on Europe We’re popping up in some of our favourite cities and we’ve opened our first hotel in Germany in the city of culture and creativity, Berlin. We are now looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our team.

Our first Hoxton in Germany is home to 234 bedrooms of varying sizes, a ground floor restaurant, coffee bar and streetside terrace and The Apartment – our unique meetings and events concept.

Reporting to our Director of Finance, you will be you will be responsible to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of Accounting.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Vorbereitung und Durchführung der Inventuren sowie Auswertung der Inventurergebnisse.
  • Erfassung der F&B-Kosten im Hauptbuchsystem.
  • Vor- und Nachkalkulation sowie permanente Überwachung der Wareneinsätze.
  • Vorbereitung und Erstellung der täglichen und monatlichen Wareneinsatzberichte.
  • Überwachung der F&B-Bestände zur Steigerung des Lagerumschlags.
  • Vor- und Nachbereitung diverser Veranstaltungen.
  • Erarbeitung, Durchführung und Abschluss von Projekten.
  • Unterstützung bei Hygienekontrollen gemäß HACCP.
  • Einhaltung aller Kostenkontrollverfahren (ggf. Erstellung neuer Verfahren).
  • Auskosten von Speise- und Getränkekarten inclusive Anlage korrekter Rezepturen und daraus entwickelten Preisen.
  • Teilnahme an den Monatsendberichtsverfahren in Bezug auf den F&B-Bestand und andere Aufgaben.
  • Preparation and execution of inventories as well as evaluation of inventory results
  • Recording of F&B costs into the General Ledger System.
  • Pre- and post-calculation, as well as continuous monitoring of material usage.
  • Preparation and creation of daily and monthly material usage reports.
  • Monitoring inventories of F&B to increase inventory turnover.
  • Pre- and post-preparation of various events.
  • Development, execution, and completion of projects.
  • Support with hygiene controls according to HACCP.
  • Adhering to all cost control procedures (where applicable create new procedures).
  • Costing of food and beverage menus, including the establishment of correct reci-pes and derived prices.
  • Participating in month end reporting procedures in relation to F&B stock and other tasks.

 

What we’re looking for…

  • Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung als Hotelkaufmann/-frau
  • Mindestens 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung in diesem Sachgebiet
  • Selbständiges, ziel- und lösungsorientiertes Arbeiten mit der Fähigkeit zu kommunizieren
  • Gute Kenntnisse der Microsoft Office Anwendungen und Oracle Micros Simphony Kassesysteme.
  • Zahlenaffinität und Interesse am Umgang mit Waren
  • Successfully completed vocational training in Hotel Business.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in this field.
  • Independent, goal- and solution-oriented work with strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Oracle Micros Simphony POS systems.
  • Affinity for numbers and interest in handling goods.
