Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages to customers across the world. The AMZL network is undergoing rapid growth and change on a global scale. AMZL Finance teams partner closely with global cross-functional business and tech teams to support this rapidly expanding business; br/>
Key job responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leverages Amazon Logistic metrics to identify cost out opportunities by linking up operations and financials. Understands the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure.
• Build trusted partnership with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions that lead to business improvements and cost reductions
• Owns the Financial and operational planning processes to produce a challenging/stretch/bold yet solid operational plan. br/>• Proactively supports knowledge-sharing within the team and across your division, while looking to standardize processes across EU teams
• Works independently: Proactively partners with manager to prioritize and focus on high-impact activities and to deprioritize those which are unlikely to drive material improvement

A day in the life
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst that is excited to join a tech company that is constantly improving and reimagining the logistics industry. Our candidate should be passionate about using data to solve big, complex and ambiguous problems. If so, come and join the AMZL Finance Team.

As part of the AMZL Finance team, you will join a team that is passionate about numbers, data, and how to use them to generate insights and improve our business. We support and influence the AMZL organization by providing the a holistic and financial perspective, we are the trusted business advisors. br/>
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MBA, or CPA
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience designing and implementing controls or experience performing audits over financial reporting environment
