As Engineering Manager Salesforce Marketing Cloud (m/f/d) at IU, you will take on a hybrid role that combines strong leadership abilities with hands-on technical expertise in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment. You will lead a dedicated team of Marketing Cloud engineers, guiding them through complex projects and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, your responsibilities will encompass both the effective management of your team and active participation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development projects. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our Marketing Cloud solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives.
This role is perfect for a seasoned Marketing Cloud professional who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve business challenges and who thrives in a leadership position. You will have direct reports and will be expected to contribute to development efforts at a Senior Engineer level, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to hands-on technical work.
Your tasks
Lead with technical acumen, providing both guidance and mentorship to a team dedicated to Salesforce Marketing Cloud engineering.
Steer the squad's endeavors to seamlessly integrate with the global product roadmap and strategic business objectives, delivering premium Marketing Cloud solutions.
Track and evaluate key performance metrics related to efficiency, quality, and project deadlines, promptly addressing any deviations.
Remain actively engaged with hands-on Marketing Cloud developments, leveraging a deep knowledge base in SSJS, AMPscript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and utilizing Marketing Cloud APIs.
Guide architectural decision-making to craft complex Marketing Cloud solutions that respond adeptly to multifaceted marketing needs.
Engage proactively with other Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and critical stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and optimize engineering resource deployment.
Your Profile
Proven track record in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development, demonstrating expertise in the platform's capabilities, customization, SSJS, AMPscript, and API integration.
Deep understanding of marketing automation principles and Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices.
Proficiency in Agile project management, promoting a culture of ongoing integration and delivery.
