The European XFEL is a user facility that delivers X-ray photon beams with a wide range of spectral and temporal properties. Achieving optimal performance necessitates precise control of various electron beam parameters which in turn requires appropriate online diagnostics. To address this need, we have initiated the "Virtual Diagnostics" project.
