The Bank of Ireland Global Acquisition Finance Unit was established in 1996 as a specialist for leveraged acquisition finance within Corporate Banking to serve midcap clients across Western Europe. The team is engaged in arranging, underwriting and participating in leveraged acquisition finance transactions in Ireland, the UK, Continental Europe (Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid) and the US serving and supporting private equity clients in their buy-out transactions operating out of 6 offices. In 2006, an Acquisition Finance Team was established in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Based on a successful track record of more than 16 years of serving clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Frankfurt office continues to be one of the most active leveraged acquisition finance players within the financial institutions landscape. We are now looking to strengthen our German team by hiring a Leveraged Finance professional at the Analyst / Associate level. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Acquisition Finance Germany and the team in all transaction-related and client facing aspects. The position is based in the Bank of Ireland Frankfurt office. Key Accountabilities: Responsible for providing of analytical and administrative support of leveraged buy-out and acquisition finance transactions as a member of various deal teams and reporting to the respective deal captain and the Head of Acquisition Finance Germany. Responsibilities to include: • Company and market research across a wide variety of industries • Analysis of business models, financial plans, as well as due diligence packages • Development of integrated financial models • Support of the credit application process including preparation of credit papers and discussions with the bank’s decision makers • Preparation of external bank presentations • Facilitating and administrating process and workflow management Experience: • 1-4 years of experience in a banking, advisory or accounting firm desirable • First insights and know-how in corporate finance or transactions driven environment • Accustomed to dealing with senior management and key stake holders Skills required: • University degree in finance or equivalent qualification • Credit analysis and cash flow modelling skills • Analytical mind-set and structured work approach • Ability to work in a team and proactively take on responsibilities • Excellent oral, numerical, written and communication skills • German and English language skills (fluent/proficient) • Sound knowledge and handling of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) • Proven ability in managing diverse work streams, changing priorities and set deadlines Remuneration & Benefits: An established and entrepreneurial European Acquisition Finance Team offers interested candidates a great platform to further develop their transactions skills, expand their professional network and thrive in a challenging and flexible environment.
