Your area of work includes:

Your tasks will include:

• You will work on the most modern and largest system in Germany, which is used for all emergency calls for the Berlin police and the Berlin fire department.
• You are part of the team that is responsible for monitoring, administering and further developing our new control center system. You will oversee the coordination with colleagues from the IT departments of the police and fire departments as well as external suppliers.
• With your administrative skills, you will ensure a smooth workflow within the cooperative control center and ensure its operation.
• As part of first and second level support, you are the first point of contact for employees at the Cooperative Control Center

You bring with you:

• a relevant university degree (bachelor's degree or comparable university degree), preferably in the fields of computer science, communications engineering, communications engineering or electrical engineering

• proven equivalent skills and experience in different IT areas

Specialized knowledge:

• Sound knowledge of the functionality and administration of databases, their replication and backup procedures
• Sound knowledge of server systems and associated operating systems as well as hardware including visualization, data backup and archiving systems
• practical skills for the installation of hardware and network components
• Experience in troubleshooting complex IT systems
• Knowledge of software architectures
• Knowledge of data protection and information security
