Senior Procurement and Logistic Manager

This key role will play a pivotal part in shaping our supplier management, contracting, sourcing excellence, logistics, project delivery quality, and ultimately, customer satisfaction.


As a Senior Procurement and Logistic Manager at Solnet Group, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement, supplier and logistic strategies that align with our company's growth objectives and quality requirements. Reporting to our CEO Kaj Kangasmäki, you will join a dedicated procurement team in developing seamless delivery chain together with sales, engineering, project management office and operations & maintenance team. You will have the opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing companies in European energy industry, while ensuring that Solnet Group grows as a number one choice for solar energy for Commercial and Industrial real estate owners and users. In addition to these market volatility services, O&M services and utility-scale PV projects will generate an increasing number of assignments. The role will be further defined based on your background and interests, ensuring it best complements the current team. You can work either from our Helsinki, Amsterdam or Frankfurt office, and our way of working is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Further develop and implement procurement and logistics strategies to meet business and project objectives.
  • Oversee supplier and partner selection, negotiation, and contracting processes to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key partners and suppliers to facilitate effective collaboration and innovation.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement by identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement and logistics processes, enhance quality, and achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Actively contribute as a passionate member of our procurement and logistics team.

  • Superior business acumen paired with strong negotiation skills for contracts and pricing.
  • Proven track record in project procurement management, preferably in growth companies with diverse employees and customers from different countries and organizational levels.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement best practices, core processes, and sourcing strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and support organizational growth.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in other languages, such as Finnish, German, or Dutch, is considered a benefit, with German being the most preferred.
  • Ability to analyze needs and markets, making data-driven decisions.
  • Capability to manage multiple procurement processes simultaneously, in alignment with project schedules.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field; an advanced degree or procurement certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with technical platforms, including ERP and data analytics tools.
