Overview:Our client is a European private capital investment platform with a growing presence in the DACH region and Southern Europe. With several billion euros in assets under management and a dynamic buyout strategy, the firm invests across sectors with a proven ability to deliver strong returns through operational value creation and strategic transformation. The Munich office serves as a hub for pan-European investments, with particular coverage of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.This opportunity is positioned within the buyout team, offering direct exposure to transactions across multiple industries, with an emphasis on complex cross-border situations and growth-oriented LBOs.Key Responsibilities:Deal execution: build and maintain advanced LBO and transaction models, run valuation analyses, and prepare investment committee materialsDue diligence: manage workstreams across commercial, financial, and operational due diligence processesOrigination support: contribute to sourcing and evaluating new opportunities across the DACH and Italian marketsPortfolio management: support value creation, bolt-on acquisitions, and operational improvement initiatives within portfolio companiesSector research: analyse industry dynamics and develop insights to inform the firm’s investment strategyCandidate Requirements:2–4 years of experience in investment banking (M&A, leveraged finance) or top-tier strategy consultingStrong technical skills in financial modelling, particularly LBOs and complex valuation workNative-level fluency in German and professional fluency in Italian is requiredDemonstrated understanding of DACH and Italian mid-market dynamicsEntrepreneurial mindset, team orientation, and ability to work in fast-paced, international environmentsOpportunity:Join a highly active buyout team with a pan-European investment mandateExposure to full investment lifecycle, from origination to portfolio value creationWork closely with senior dealmakers in Munich and across European officesGain cross-border transaction experience with a focus on DACH and Italian coverageBe part of a platform with strong fundraising momentum and long-term growth trajectory
