This position is vital for ensuring efficient procurement processes, driving cost savings, and fostering strong supplier partnerships that support the organization’s strategic goals.Role Summary:The Indirect Procurement specialist supports the procurement of non-technical goods and services, collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers to enhance efficiency and value. This role is primarily performed on-site in Aachen, with potential for some remote work, and involves liaising across various departments to deliver optimal sourcing solutions. By ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, the successful candidate will contribute significantly to the organization’s operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Support the sourcing and purchasing of indirect goods and services across multiple categories.Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms to maximize value.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.Assist in the management of supplier performance and compliance.Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.Support contract management activities and ensure adherence to procurement policies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored procurement solutions.Experience & Requirements:Proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare sectors.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build mutual beneficial supplier relationships.Knowledge of procurement process tools and systems.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.
