What you’ll be doing at BRITA You design and build robust backend services for our BRITA iQ platform for managing IoT devices – using C# and Azure to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. As part of an agile software development team, you work closely with Product Owners, Frontend developers, and QA Engineers to deliver end-to-end features – from concept to deployment and operation. You bring in your experience with microservices, OpenAPI, OAuth, and event sourcing to shape smart, future-ready architectures. Clean code is your standard: you write tests, review code, and follow modern engineering best practices. Performance matters to you – so you keep an eye on KPIs like response times and error rates and continuously optimize. You share your knowledge, support others, and stay curious – always exploring what’s next in tech and security. You are used to working in agile product development environments and contribute effectively to interdisciplinary collaboration. To unlock your full potential with us, it would be great if you bring A degree or training in (business) informatics or a related field – plus solid experience in backend development with C#/.NET and Azure. You prefer functional over object-oriented programming (e.g., using LanguageExt) and feel at home with modern backend concepts like microservices, REST, OpenAPI, OAuth, and event sourcing. You have experience developing software solutions for IoT devices and understand the unique technical and architectural challenges involved. You're confident working with SQL and NoSQL databases, have experience with TDD, and maybe even a first look into Terraform. You work in cross-functional agile teams, contributing to iterative development cycles and regular feedback loops. You’re a team player who works independently, thinks in solutions, communicates clearly, and stays curious and eager to grow.
