Internet of Things - Digitale Automation Dual (B. Eng.) (m/w/d)Dinge, die über das Internet eigenständig miteinander kommunizieren und Aufgaben automatisiert erledigen - das "Internet of Things" (IoT) bietet nicht nur im Alltag, sondern auch im industriellen Umfeld ungeahnte Möglichkeiten. Im Rahmen der Industrie 4.0 geht es darum, Produktionsabläufe effizienter und flexibler zu gestalten und letztendlich intelligente Wertschöpfungsketten zu schaffen, die eine individuelle Fertigung und Wartung von Produkten ermöglichen.

Voraussetzung für die Nutzung dieser Möglichkeiten sind neue, interdisziplinäre Denkweisen bei der Produktentwicklung sowie die Beherrschung der zugrunde liegenden Technologie. Genau hier setzt der neue Ingenieurstudiengang "Internet of Things - Digitale Automation" an. Er vermittelt die notwendigen Kenntnisse für die Entwicklung digital vernetzter Systeme sowie für den Entwurf und die programmiertechnische Umsetzung komplexer Algorithmen zur Datenverarbeitung. Aufbauend auf einem elektro- und informationstechnischen Grundstudium erhalten Studierende eine umfassende Ausbildung im Bereich der Automatisierung und Digitalisierung sowie Einblicke in praxisnahe Anwendungsthemen wie die Programmierung von Web-Applikationen, den Umgang mit eingebetteten Prozessorsystemen, die Robotik oder die Bildverarbeitung.
BerufsperspektivenDie durch die Digitalisierung entstehenden Potenziale erfordern in den Unternehmen neue interdisziplinäre Denkweisen. Gesucht werden deshalb vor allem Fachkräfte mit Kenntnissen im Bereich der Entwicklung digitaler vernetzter Systeme, des Entwurfs komplexer Algorithmen zur Datenverarbeitung sowie für deren programmiertechnische Umsetzung.

Nach aktuellen Untersuchungen wächst das Job-Angebot für IoT-Spezialisten insbesondere in der Industrie und der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnikbranche überdurchschnittlich. Dieser Trend wird sich auch in anderen Branchen und in allen Unternehmensgrößen fortsetzen.
