KGaA (www.mutares.com) is a Munich-based listed private equity holding company that acquires medium-sized companies in special situations with significant operational improvement potential. After a repositioning and stabilization process, portfolio companies are sold. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies through its own investment and operations teams and strategic add-on acquisitions, targeting businesses with revenues of EUR 100m–750m across various industries.
The Investment Manager will support the investment team across the full deal lifecycle:
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess inbound investment opportunities through detailed analysis of teasers, CIMs, and confidential presentation material
- Build financial models and perform return sensitivities and scenario analyses to support investment evaluations
- Prepare investment screening memos for the Investment Committee (IC)
- Manage projects during the due diligence phase
- Coordinate tasks around signing and closing, including maintaining transaction checklists and supporting review of key commercial termsYour Profile:
- Finance degree with outstanding academic results
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in Investment Banking (M&A), Transaction Services/Deal Advisory, Corporate M&A, or Private Equity, with strong focus on transaction execution
- Strong analytical skills and proven experience in financial modelling
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage parallel workstreams
- Ability to take ownership and work independently in a lean, fast-moving team
- Business fluency in German and English
