Meet Your Team: Anti-Fraud Solutions
Industry experts report that 20 percent of global mobile ad spend can be identified as fraud. adjoe’s Anti-Fraud team has both validated this number and prevented fraudulent users from entering partners’ ad spend.
The team’s software includes two major components.
1) A distributed backend system with modern cloud infrastructure that provides different interfaces to partners.
2) A unique mobile SDK that analyzes device features to detect modifications via xposed or magisk.
With no one-size-fits-all solution, the Anti-Fraud team works with a large set of features. From detecting attempts based on data with static patterns, using proprietary solutions to detect software manipulation, marking network traffic abnormalities, and identifying when to warn or even block requests.

What Will You Do:- Contribute to the development of our backend written 99% in Go and maintain our microservice architecture used to communicate with our frontend (an Android SDK and a React-based JavaScript application). To do this, you’ll use event buses like Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis in order to have reliable asynchronous microservice communication.
- Work in a community of developers with whom you’ll share knowledge and contribute to peer code reviews.
- Work with modern databases such as Dynamodb and Scylla, where you’ll optimize queries and the way we query data to deliver few-millisecond response times.
- Collaborate with our Data Science and BI team to figure out where and how cheaters could exploit our system and implement mitigations for it.
- Work on a sophisticated VPN detection that can detect even residential proxies.
- Be responsible for collecting the billions of daily API events and aggregating them in our Kafka and Kinesis streams with the goal of querying them from the data lake in a matter of seconds.
- Be part of an international English-speaking team dedicated to scaling our adtech platform beyond our hundreds of millions of monthly active users.
- You have worked in software development for 3+ years.
- You have gained profound experience with building web applications in Go for at least 2 years.
- You have knowledge about databases and a basic understanding of Regular Expressions, HTTP protocol, and Encoding.
- You have very good knowledge about TCP networking and understand how routing works on the internet.
- You are open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany
- Plus: You have experience working with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker, and other container orchestration platforms (e.g. kubernetes or ECS).
