Tasks

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Search Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on consulting with customers to understand their search and data needs, providing expert guidance on integrating Qdrant's Vector Database into their systems, and supporting pre-sales activities. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our technology and customer requirements, ensuring successful adoption and satisfaction.

  • Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, data infrastructure, and business objectives.

  • Provide expert advice on how Qdrant's Vector Database can address their specific challenges and enhance their capabilities.

  • Develop customized solutions and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate the value of our technology.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and tailor presentations accordingly.

  • Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workshops for potential clients.

  • Assist in preparing technical proposals, RFP responses, and solution architectures.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in vector search, machine learning, and database technologies.

  • Contribute to the development of best practices and technical resources for internal and external use.

  • Provide feedback to the product team on customer needs and market trends to inform product roadmap decisions.

  • Integration & Implementation:

  • Guide customers through the integration process of Qdrant's Vector Database into their existing systems.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during implementation.

  • Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales support.

  • Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on customer needs.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in search technologies, databases, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as pre-sales engineer, solutions architect, or consultant.
  • Deep understanding of search technologies, vector databases, and similarity search algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and handling high-dimensional data.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of data structures, indexing methods, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping clients succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
