Have you ever signed up for a new SaaS tool and needed clarification about how to use it? With Pyne, you can seamlessly onboard without needing to schedule sales calls.
At pyne, we believe that onboarding to products should be as enjoyable as onboarding to video games. How? We achieve this via AI-led in-product demos. No more generic product experiences; no more salespeople bugging you to upgrade. Instead, we have an engaging and well-informed avatar co-browsing with you through the most important features and addressing your needs.
Pyne raised €2.6 million pre-seed round from Lightspeed, SquareOne and others. The team is based in Berlin.

Our team is at the exciting stage of finding our first 10 pyoneers. Everyone is involved in the business and is expected to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and voice their thoughts constructively. Working closely with our product manager, engineers, and customers, you will have a significant impact on our culture, product, and all things user experience-related.
As our first Senior Product Designer at Pyne, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining our AI-driven platform, ensuring every user interaction is smooth, humane, and impactful. You’ll turn user insights into innovative, intuitive interaction patterns, and collaborate with a fast-paced team to experiment and build features.

TasksSome concrete projects you’ll work on:
- Experiment and define engaging and natural interaction patterns between end users and the AI-enhanced Pyne demo widget.
- Take ownership in building a smooth and effective customer demo creation tool based on close customer co-creation.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Participate in feature definition and scoping, and maintain an overview of user flow and interaction patterns across features in collaboration with the product manager.
- Deliver high-quality user interfaces on key screens.
- Establish and refine the existing design system.
- Develop brand visual language and apply it across all customer journeys.
- Plan and conduct user research to inform design decisions.
- Adapt to and shape the product development process.
Most importantly:
- You are excited about working in early-stage startups. You have experience working in dynamic product companies with a fast decision-making process and a small team with lots of independence.
- You have high delivery standards and attention to detail, while also being able to move quickly and be at peace with an 80% solution for iterative learning.
- Also important: You can work from the Berlin office most days of the week with our core team. We are based in the heart of Berlin-Mitte, near Hackescher Markt
These are some things that will set you up for success:
- Experience with planning and delivering web design features from ideation to final delivery with a strong product mindset
- Ability to create user-flows and design mockups from doodles to animated prototypes, to communicating design concepts
- Experience with motion design/micro-interactions to prototype and explore interaction details for our end users.
- Experience with usability testing and heuristic evaluations.
- Mastery of Figma and other design tools.
- Clear and intentional communication and storytelling skills.
- A strong interest or experience with AI/ML-driven products and how they impact user experience is a great-to-have

How we support You
You will be mainly responsible for designing the Pyne core product with Dan (Sr Product Manager). You will also collaborate closely with Carsten (Tech Lead) and Çağatay (Senior Full-stack Engineer).
Furthermore, we have access to a big network of design leaders in Berlin from various startups and can provide 1-to-1 mentoring through our angels (e.g. CMO Zapier, C-Level Looker, Founder Dataform, etc.). If you like, we’ll help you find a mentor that is a great fit for you.
