We are currently looking for a talented and experienced backend developer with a strong background in web and backend technologies, including REST, GraphQL, Docker, SQL and HTML5. We place particular emphasis on extensive developer experience in Python. 100% remote work is possible. However, it is essential for us that applicants live within Germany.

Tasks- Work as a part of our backend team and be responsible for diverse and challenging backend development efforts
- Design and implement robust and scalable services
- Ensure high uptime and meet scalability needs
- Write and maintain tests to improve software quality
- Automate recurring tasks, help us simplify operations
- Design and communicate new API features
- 7+ years experience designing and writing backend applications
- Experienced in at least 2 programming languages
- Extensive development experience in Python. Bonus if you have worked on Java or C/C++ projects before.
- Extensive knowledge of web and backend technologies, esp. asynchronous programming and caching.
- Extensive knowledge in relational databases, preferably MySQL. Bonus for knowledge in NoSQL technologies.
- Experience with Docker. Knowledge of container-orchestration systems is a plus.
- You are smart and adaptive, able to learn new technologies and get things done
- Comfortable in an English-speaking work environment
